This year’s conference theme is “Beyond a Middle Income Africa: Ensuring Sustained Growth with Rising Employment and Incomes.” Organized by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in partnership with the African Union Commission (AUC), the conference will bring together experts, senior level policymakers, and representatives from the private sector, civil society, farmers’ organizations, and development partner organizations to discuss:

- Progress on CAADP Implementation: Tracking the progress made by individual countries and Regional Economic Communities in the implementation of CAADP activities and realization of its key objectives and targets.

- Going beyond a Middle Income Africa: Learning from the findings and policy recommendations of the 2014 Annual Trends and Outlook Report (ATOR), which examines trends in and drivers of growth, as well as how Africa can achieve sustained economic growth and transformation with rising incomes and employment.

- Malabo Commitments and Joint Sector Reviews: Tracking the implementation of the Malabo Declaration commitments in line with the new CAADP Results Framework and promoting mutual accountability through agricultural Joint Sector Reviews (JSRs) that are comprehensive, inclusive, and technically robust. Read more information about JSRs.

- Country SAKSS and Agricultural E-Atlas: Sharing country experiences in supporting and creating the required technical and institutional capacities to meet data and knowledge needs of CAADP at the national level. ReSAKSS is currently leading the establishment and operationalization of 12 Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System (SAKSS) platforms across Africa. A key knowledge product of each SAKSS platform will be a GIS-based agricultural e-atlas, currently being developed, to guide agricultural investment decisions.
