International Conference - Water issues/challenges and Climate Change Adaptation in Africa, Bangui October 4-28, 2012, RDC

Many works exist on drying-up of water (rivers, lakes, marsh or sources) insisting on resources reduction in volume at sub-basins or basins scale, but very little discuss societal dimension. Then how does one perceive these resources shrinking impacts on human activities at local, basins, national or regional scales? How could one cure these various levels?

Objectives

  • To capitalize knowledge (traditional and current) on water resource challenges, socio-economic impacts and attenuation and adaptation strategies of local communities in Africa;
  • To contribute to minimize water problems in climate change context;
  • To share and diffuse the assets near local communities for a better appropriation of the durable management appropriateness’s of water questions in Africa
